The following recalls have been announced:
• Ski equipment. About 4,500 pairs of XBi ALU Skis, made in Italy and distributed by Nordica USA, of West Lebanon, N.H., because the binding plates could crack or break, causing the skier to lose control or fall and suffer injuries. The recall involves the XBi binding component in these ski models and model years: 2006 MACH3POWER; 2007 DOBSPIT; 2007 MACH3POWER; 2007 MACH3; 2007 MACH2; 2007 HELLCAT; 2007 FIREFOX; 2007 DOBPROSL; 2008 FIREFOX; 2008 DOBPROSL; 2008 DOBPROGS. The products were sold at ski retailers nationwide from August 2006 through December 2008. Details: www.cpsc.gov.
