Several routes through Mount Rainier National Park will reopen before the weekend.
Highway 410 over Chinook Pass is scheduled to reopen today.
The portion of Highway 123 that runs through the southeast corner of the park to the Stevens Canyon entrance is set to open Friday.
Also opening on Friday will be the Ohanapecosh Campground and visitor center. They will be staffed daily throughout the summer season.
Highway 123 north of the Stevens Canyon entrance will remain closed as crews prepare to repair damage done by flooding in November. Four washouts have cut the roadway, including one gash that’s 70 feet deep.
The Stevens Canyon Road, the cross-park highway, also is not open due to damage from the fall storms.
