Hoofed it up CP on Sunday morning with a friend. Have been doing this hike for the past 5 years, every time on clear days. The view from the top is breathtaking every time! Can't seem to get enough of all the peaks in a 360 degree view: Rainier, St. Helens, Hood, Adams, Glacier Peak, Baker, Olympics, as well as various fire lookouts in the distance.

Anyone who hasn't done this one, I recommend doing this ASAP. Pick a clear day, bring water and a camera. You won't be disappointed!

There are few places I enjoy wandering around more than Crystal.

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum!

That is one of the many amazing things about Crystal. The area is very expansive and convoluted, and because there are so many peaks, the area offers a never ending opportunity to enjoy. Even better, the peaks and valleys beyond any of the boundaries that define Crystal are equally spectacular. A hiker in reasonable shape can get to most any of the nearby peaks in about 3 or so hours.
