Started above C4 and hiked to the PCT where Bear Gap meets. Headed towards Sourdough Gap, crossing snow in some spots, mud in others. The hike in was BEAUTIFUL! Many wildflowers along the trail, as well as camp robbers wanting a free handout. As we approach SDG, the snow slough was easily crossed. Upon reaching the gap, full spectrum yielded Mt. Adams, Hood, St. Helens, and Rainier. Hiking down to Chinook, more snow cover with boot track was also easily crossed.

Had a quick snack at the Chinook overpass and headed back. The hike back to SDG was a bit steeper than it appeared, but shorter than originally thought.

After a quick dip in Henskin Lake and a short hike down Quicksilver, cold brew awaited.

A couple of stories and a beer later, back home to the good ole' Scratch.

That area is a delight to visit! But I don’t know the names of the trails in the area. Where does one access the PCT from the Henskin lake area?

At Henskin take a left and cross the creek. Head towards Jimtown. There will be a wooden sign with a PCT and mile marker ( I can't remember the mileage ) Keep hiking the few switchbacks. Soon enough you'll reach the PCT and Bear Gap trails. Right heads toward Chinook, left heads toward Snoqualmie.

Another way to access is the trail midway up Gold Hills. Hike from the lower lift shack, ( Or drive to the top of C7 ) and you'll see a trail heading south into the trees. Small miners cave as soon as you hit the trail.
