The www.Explore-Greenwater.com site has been operational for a little over a year now. It has been an amazing and wonderful year! I've had the exceptional honor and pleasure to meet and talk with a number of our neighbors and have learned a lot about the area. Greenwater is blessed to be the home of the most spectacular outdoor enthusiast area within the State and also one of the best wilderness areas in our Nation. Greenwater is known by a large number of folks who have a passion for snow sports, the woods, and the mountains. The Greenwater community is home to a number of truly admirable people who share a noble goal of helping others in the community as well as visitors.
I could not be more delighted by the many who have visited and become members of the site. The web site has grown in popularity from an average of 1 visitor per day last November to 70+ visitors per day so far this November.
My thanks to the growing numbers of folks who come to the site and especially those who have taken the time to contribute both on the forum and by way of email! The site exists to encourage sharing of information both about the area and about our lives in general, and to help promote the area. The guidance and knowledge of many who are intimately knowledgeable about the area have been an immeasurable asset to the site just as they are to the community.
This week several of the businesses in Greenwater are kicking off the coming Ski Season with an Open House.
On Friday, November 9, Wapiti Woolies will be holding it’s annual Fall Open House from 5 PM to 8 PM. They are offering discounts, special deals, and give always. If you say you saw the promotion on the www.Explore-Greenwater.com web site they will extend their offerings through the weekend of November 10 and 11.
Greenwater Skis is offering some of last year’s demos on sale at great prices. Take the opportunity to drop off your skis or snowboard for a tune up. While there, check out the demo skis and you can also see this years best ski equipment. Greenwater Skis has the new skis made by Rossigoal, Fisher, K2 and Solomon.
Also on Friday, during the hours of the Open House, Greenwater Outfitters is offering some free sample Deli sandwiches and coffee. Greenwater Outfitters has a number of new products on the shelves. Greenwater Outfitters offers a discount to Greenwater locals.
Naches Tavern will be offering snacks and food on Friday as well as a live band.
In addition to all of that, on Saturday November 10, the Greenwater Community Center will be holding Its annual Harvest Dinner Party. There will be a social hour starting at 6:00, and a Pot Luck dinner starting at 7:00. Be sure to bring something for the Pot Luck dinner!
Also on Saturday, stop by the Firehouse and Community center between 11 AM and 1 PM for a family portrait starting at just $25.
Come up to Greenwater and help us celebrate the coming of Winter and all the pleasures that the season brings.
