I'm working as a community facilitator for Pierce County to post new signs before the end of 2006 ("DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS PROHIBITED") in and around the two local no shoot Red Zones which are:
Crystal River Ranch / Crystal Village and Greenwater

There is no direct individual property owner cost for a sign. Please contact me if you want more information on this: wscholl@gmail.com

Background & Future Action:
After numerous safety related shooting incidents over the years, the recent Labor Day holiday weekend FS75 fire less than a mile from my CRR property continues to infuriate me. CRR, Forest Service and Hancock are fortunate property owners that weekend. The reckless target practice individuals reported their shooting had started a fire that they were unable to put out. Sincere thanks and BRAVO to our local volunteer fire department who once again had success at snuffing out another man made fire. My CRR property line (DIV IV Lot #2) is a segment of the current red zone boundary and this is too close to my home. In 2008 I will be authoring a community petition that will be requesting Pierce County for an extension to the CRR / Crystal Village non shoot red zone boundary. Please share with me details if you have experienced a reckless safety related shooting incident or have input regarding the citizen petition planned.
