There was a vote yesterday (2-23) asking approval of CRR residents to build a system of rock veins and other materials for a best effort attempt to stop the massive erosion that has been ongoing along the banks of the White River along CRR properties. This erosion has caused some water front property owners to loose over 80’ of their property to the river, and the same erosion has been threatening the community water supply system. The CRR residents overwhelmingly voted in favor of this measure.
The CRR Association members have done an outstanding job of researching the problem and seeking solutions. They have done an even more outstanding job at getting the information to the CRR residents so that all could make an informed decision.

Is that vote correct? 2-23? I find it impossible to believe as everyone I know was voting against it!

First, for the sake of clarity the “2-23” I mentioned and you quoted was the date of the vote. It was not the vote count. I didn’t write down the vote results (forgot to bring my notepad), but there was a very wide margin of people who voted in favor. I estimate the spread as about 4 to 5 “yes” votes for every “no” vote. I checked on the greatergreenwater.com site and it appears that as of this writing they haven’t published the results. I sent a note to one of the CRR board members and asked that they do publish the vote results. I’ll update when I hear back.

Here's the results:
CRR River Project Approved!
176 CRR property owners submitted a project ballot in person at Feb. 24th meeting or by delivered proxy
(79%+ participation)
151 quorum participants voted “Yes” to approve the
special project assessment (85%+)
This is the highest property owner involvement CRR has ever had regarding any project, proposal or issue.
