I remember riding a chair, the Forrest Queen Express at Crystal, with a man who was about 50 years old. It was mid March, right after a good dump. He said it was his first time on skis this season. I asked why he didn’t ski until March? In response he told me that he’d developed heart problems in December leading to a quick and unexpected trip to have quad bypass heart surgery. He said the rehab moved along okay and that he was delighted to be back on skis.
