Our washer had it's 3rd failure in 6 years. The last one was due to the incompetence of the repair guy, who replaced a leaky tub but didn't bother to re-connect a valve that tells the washer when the selected water has been reached. The result was a massive flood.

So...any recommendations?

Who was your repair person? I recently had Bob Martinson up to repair my 35 yr. old washer and was very satisfied. He is an independent repair guy that Sears uses, lives in Enumclaw, and will make a service call to the Greenwater area for a service charge. His number is 360-825-2133. Me, I'd ditch the lemon and get something else.

Thanks for telling me about Bob Martinson. We had a Sears chosen repair person come out. Actually it took a total of 5 trips. 4 to do the work and 1 to come back and verify that the 4th person to come out did incompetent work.

We’re looking at a front-loading Samsung brand replacement. The front loading washers use less water and are said to be more energy efficient.
