MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK — Highway 123 in Mount Rainier National Park will be closed for roadway and safety repairs for a couple of weeks starting Tuesday. Drivers can expect a total closure of nearly 11 miles of Highway 123 from Cayuse Pass to Stevens Canyon Road, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Thursday, and the following week Monday through Thursday.
Access to Longmire and Paradise will be available only by way of Highway 12.
Construction crews will be repaving Highway 123 with asphalt and working on drainage and rock retaining walls.
